Don't forget Baugh.
Yeah, exactly. We have a playmaker at TE, a couple at WR, one at QB and one at RB. Not sure that another playmaker is a need. A want? Sure. A need. Probably not.
The only thing that makes Gibson close to a "need" is despite the whole playmaker distinction, he is the only pure WR we are still in on. Everybody else is a hybrid/slot kind of guy. Gibson is the only split guy we are in on to play outside. Jalin possibly could play outside but he is better suited to play slot/RB.
I thought the max score on the ACT was 36? I would have guessed Gibson would have needed an 18-21 to go with his 3.1.
36 is the maximum composite score. The total score maximum is 144. I guess the NCAA must look at the total score so that they can get a a more precise score since the composite score will round up or down if the raw score is a fraction (e.g., a 16.5 would round up to a 17).
BN $ - Is Gibson Closer To Being Buckeye?
His coach says he had a good visit and will take 1-2 more visits...he guesses the announcement will come on NSD.
With the Wilson news:
Marc Givler @MarcGivlerBG
4* WR Shelton Gibson has committed to #WestVirginia
He'll be a good one there.
The writing was clearly on the wall for this one. I think he'll thrive at WVU to be honest. Good luck, young man.
Best of luck, Shelton.
I honestly felt like we had about a 60-70% chance of landing him. Best to luck to him at WVU, he'd make an immediate impact.
Kid really wanted to be a Buckeye, bummer he didn't make his way into this class. Either way, best of luck Shelton and keep those academics up at WVU and you will have a great career!
Good luck Mr Gibson, I'll be rooting for you.
