Hope Gibson is in...not very much buzz about him or many of the receivers OSU is after as of late. Him in that pic is a good sign:wink2:

Not to be a jerk but that pic doesn't mean a thing. Follow recruiting for a while and these types of pictures won't even raise your eyebrows.

New teams in fold for top Ohio WR
May, 8, 2012
By Jared Shanker | ESPN.com

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS ? Shelton Gibson?s announcement date is a little more than a month away, and the Cleveland Heights receiver still has the same two teams out front. But the gap continues to shrink between those two and a number of other programs.

Auburn and Ohio State are the leaders for the four-star prospect ranked No. 1 among receivers in the state of Ohio. Gibson went down with his high school coach, Jeff Rotsky, and a few teammates in early April to Ohio State to check out a spring practice, his first look at the Buckeyes? new offense under Urban Meyer.

?Not to downsize their receivers at all, but they could definitely use some help ? not help but I can see myself coming in and starting,? the 5-foot-11, 173-pound junior said. ?I was a little shook up about them having a lot of receivers on the board, but I can see myself going in and starting.?

Im loving his confidence! Let the staff and players know you're not scared or intimidated by the roster. Urban has to like that. Really hope we can land him

All part of the Meyer STRONG emphasis on COMPETING...
you afraid of competing... this isn't the place for you...
but if competing makes you salivate... come on over...

As Iceman stated: The plaque for the alternates is down in the ladies room.

Pretty good time. I'd say anything under 10.65 is a great time and anything in the 10.50 or under range is elite for a high school kid.

It's hard for me to get a good read on this recruitment. Sometimes I get the impression that Shelton is a high priority for this staff and other times I don't get that feeling at all. Has a decent offer list but I didn't think his highlight video was anything to write home about.

Shelton is definitely a top target at WR. I know his recruitment looks odd from the outside looking in, but we should get his commitment in the next month or so.

I don't know how long you have been around here but he is a very credible source and I would not question him or his credibility.

Not to be a butt-head, but I've been here forever (while never very outspoken) and the poster showmebuck said just curious. Stop being so clicky. BuckeyePlanet is great because it's welcoming and we're all Buckeyes. Lighten up a little.

Back to Shelton.
