'13 TN ATH Cornelius Elder (Miami FL Signee)

Like this kid a lot

Wow i had not seen his tape until now, but very impressed with his vision and use of space to go along with that vision. Now his highligts dont show that much catching tye ball, but considering he is a very good BP, and just watching his hand skills on a couple of the clips, i can not imagine how he would not make a great WR/ATH. I love Quick too and he is a proven WR, but honestly, and no sour grapes here, Quick is more of pure speed and burst, while this gentleman has all the top speed you want but also very slippery, and also quick to adjust his routes based on surroundinsgs, and that's what makes him a very good kick resturner. Gibson and Elder will be my hope.

If I had my vote, which in no way do I, Corn Elder would be my choice to add to this class. I've been impressed since I first watched his film. I thought Quick was a better receiver, but I like Elder's vision and ability to get down field in a hurry. He is rather small, but it wouldn't be an Urban Meyer team without an undersized guy scoring from everywhere on the football field.

Only risk is the kid might not like contact. I'm not certain if he's ever been tackled.

Check out the highlights vs Bishop Ryan. Looks like he has 3 TD catches in that highlight and a couple of them were really nice catches. I was wondering about if he could make the transition to WR at the next level and those few highlights from that game make me more confident he can.
