By Corey Long | ESPN.com

With 54 catches and over 1,100 yards receiving as a sophomore, Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake wide receiver Artavis Scott was among the top performing Class of 2014 prospects in the state last season.

Now the 5-foot-10, 175-pound junior is looking for an encore and comes into the 2012 season training camp with tons of momentum after a productive offseason.

Scott took part in several offseason events including Florida State's camp, Friday Night Lights at Florida, UCF's team camp, Al Golden's camp at Miami and most recently the Barbecue at the Big House during a tour of schools that included Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Scott likes Clemson

By Eric Guimaraes
ATH Artvais Scott (5-11 180) of Tarpon Springs, FL has offers from Clemson, USC, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Soiuth Florida, Central Florida, Ohio State, Mississippi State, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Indiana, West Virginia and Arkansas among others. Scott visited Clemson recently for a junior day. "I had fun and I got to see snow," said Scott. "I had a great time with the coaches. It's a great school. It seemed like a family so it was pretty cool." He heads to Michigan next week for a junior day and it will be his third trip to Ann Arbor. "I like everything they bring to the table," he said. "It's a tradition and they play in the biggest (stadium) in the country so that's pretty cool." Scott has not heard as much from the Gamecocks but he would like to visit. "When I've talked to them, they've told me how they want me to come there and just kept me up-to-date on what's going on," said Scott. He did not name a leader.

Irish Sports Daily - In The Film Room: Artavis Scott

2/11

Artavis Scott brings a lot to the table as a high school recruit and whichever college is lucky enough to land him will be getting a versatile prospect with plenty of talent and football knowledge. The 2014 wide receiver from Florida played six different positions his junior season and pretty much excelled at each one, although wide receiver was his main focus. Whether he was rushing off the edge as a defensive end or returning punts he made a spark with everything he did. He currently holds 19 offers in addition to Notre Dame?s from schools such as Florida, Florida State, and Ohio State.

He is teammates with offensive line prospect Mason Cole at East Lake High School and they have been offered by some of the same schools including the Irish. They?ve communicated on several occasions they would like to attend the same college and although they are not exactly considered to be a package deal, there is a chance that may occur.
