Would have been cooler if they were playing the War Tigers.
Cuyahoga Falls is the Black Tigers
I know back to Watson, Imagine Watson replacing Braxton, when the time comes.
He would be great in Urban's offense and I really hope we can flip him. But I just hope we don't alienate Barker or Henderson in the process if he stays with Clemson.
I was going more for:
Red Elephants is to
War Tigers it to
Anyways, back to Watson...
BN$--Watson celebrates then contemplates
Deshaun says Clemson, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, Georgia, LSU, Alabama and FSU were all in attendance when he won the state championship and also became Georgia's all-time career passing leader last weekend. He is still committed to Clemson but wants to visit LSU, FSU, Tennessee, Auburn and Ohio State to compare the programs.
I live in Gainesville and went to Gainesville High School (class of 1986). The Red Elephants have had a lot of studs come through, but Deshaun is the best to ever play at Gainesville High School. He is a pure pocket passer first. He does NOT gain most of his significant rushing yards when the pocket break downs resulting in an unplanned scramble. All most all of his rush yards result from designed planned runs like draws and zone reads. He is at his best throwing from the pocket. Gainesville High does run a lot of designed roll out passes, but Deshaun is still throwing from the pocket because the design of the roll out also moves the pocket with him. He likes to throw down field and has strong arm. He throws a beautiful ball and is very accurate. He is a very effective runner, but he is a passer by nature. He will not be the best running QB Urban has ever had, but he will be the best passer. Urban wants him so bad because he is the perfect QB for Urban's offensive system. I know this because I am a Georgia Bulldog fan and I am very familiar with Urban Meyer. He kicked our butt routinely. Outstanding Coach. Ohio State has a real chance. Most of the folks down here think he should go their and we tell him. Urban Meyer will make him a star. The only issue is that he has said he does not want to be to far away from home and Clemson is close to Gainesville (2 hour drive). Ohio St, Urban Meyer and Deshaun Watson might be just to much of a perfect fit for him to pass up in the end though. He is a smart kid I believe he sees the perfect match and he will make the right choice.
Thanks for the info, Bubba.
Thanks for the insight Bubba!!
Do we move the thread?
A) It wasn't moved
B) Watson is openly talking about how Morris is looking around and how that changes things but doesn't end them
I am going with no.
I just wonder if the timing with Watson won't end up working out. At some point the Buckeyes will have to move on and get a QB commit.
Plus, I think there is a good chance that Morris ends up leaving next year around this time and that maybe Watson opens things up then. But if that happens will OSU have room? Will he want to come here if we already have a QB committed?
I think Bubba is right that the guy would be absolutely amazing in Urban's offense and I really hope he ends up here, but it also seems like a little bit of a long shot as of now.
Yep, unless there's some sort of controversy, Chad Morris will be a HC next season (if he wants a job).
If Urban wants Watson bad enough, I'm assuming he'd wait on his commitment. And it seems like he wants Watson bad enough.
And if the Morris connection is so strong and he gets a HC job wouldn't Watson likely follow him?
Keep recruiting the kid until he tells you to stop......and it's a long way until February 2014.
