IL LB Clifton Garrett (LSU Signee; Transfer to ???)

2014 LB Garrett visiting again next week
July, 19, 2012
By Jared Shanker | ESPN.com

Three programs are at the top for Clifton Garrett (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South), and he will visit two over the next week. And another big-time program will look to break its way into the 2014 linebacker?s top group with a strong visit at the end of the month.

Ohio State, which sits above Notre Dame and Michigan State on Garrett?s list, will host the 6-foot-2, 218-pound inside linebacker for a second camp and visit in a little more than a month. Garrett will return to Columbus for Friday Night Lights on July 27 after camping with the Buckeyes on June 23.

On this trip, however, Garrett won?t participate in the camp as he did in June, which could be good news for the Buckeyes.

?I?m going to get to see some of the premier 2014 guys I?ve been hearing about, see what their plans are. I want to play with the best of the best. Maybe we can all go to the same school,? Garrett said.

Since that June camp, Garrett keeps in regular contact with the Buckeyes? staff, specifically assistant Mike Vrabel.

?They love me, and I like Ohio State a lot,? Garrett said. ?They said keep working and keep the grades up and everything will fall into place.?

Garrett makes friends at Ohio State camp
July, 28, 2012
By Brad Bournival | ESPN.com

Clifton Garrett (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) came to Ohio State?s Friday Night Lights camp with the intention of chilling out and meeting some players he?d talked to on Twitter.

By the time it was over, the 6-foot-2, 218-pound Garrett was pumped to be in Columbus.

While he didn?t participate, Garrett caught the action from the stands and couldn?t believe the energy coming off the field and the buzz generating in The Horseshoe.

If you believe interviews, particularly ones where he's saying different things on the same night.

Interesting and odd.

Players seem to be getting more savvy regarding interviews and I could certainly see the explosion in blogger-based interviewers opening the door for some confusion/frustration/annoyance/shenanigans/manipulation.
