Notice this has happened with Snodgrass and Johnson now...I don't think it is a coincidence. To be honest, the only type of players I see being accepted by UFM this early would be a Blanding, McMillan, Hand, etc. type. This is in no way a slight to Johnson, rather pointing out that the numbers are extremely tight in '14 and UFM historically slow-plays recruiting in years with limited scholarships.

Pound-for-pound, Johnson showed as much athleticism as any at the event. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder worked out at receiver exclusively, and showed excellent quickness off the line easily beating press coverage. While Johnson fought the ball on short and intermediate routes, he showed the ability to be a vertical threat and run through the ball down the field. Johnson, who has an offer from favorite Ohio State, is much more comfortable catching the ball down the field, than with his hands in the intermediate game on throws with velocity.

Johnson is a good sized kid who used his frame to go up and catch the ball in traffic. He got off the line when pressed, and as he gets stronger and improves his technique, he should become even harder to jam and cover. He has offers from Ohio State, his current leader, Illinois and Bowling Green.
