Scout $ - Conner QB's recruitment taking off

3/12

By Eldridge....Hearing from Penn State, Wisconsin, Duke, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (OH), Indiana, Ohio State, Cincinnati & UCLA. Talked to Coach Coombs, who says Drew is high on the board for 2014.

Physical runner in the short amount of the highlight film that I watched... I've never said this about any recruit before(although it's thrown out a lot by others) the way he carries the football reminds me of Tebow. Definately a guy to watch.

That was possibly the most impressive sophomore QB film I've seen since Matt Barkley...offer this kid asap. Cannon for an arm and the types of throws he is pulling off for his age are unbelievable...once he tightens his release up and steps into his throws, he will be breaking receiver's fingers. Great athlete and I think he is still a ways from his athleticism catching up with his size (he looks a legit 6'4)...I think he is going to get much faster and a little less awkward running the ball. I also love how Drew keeps the ball loaded at all times, enabling him to get rid of the ball at all times and somewhat make up for his long release...great habit to already have as a sophomore in HS (some college QB's struggle with this).

Above all, he has that UFM competitor factor. He fights, claws, and finds a way to make a play, no matter how unorthodox it may seem...from that standpoint, I can agree with the Tebow comparison. If Drew keeps progressing, I see him being a 5 star and top 15 material in 2014.

You're falling off. You normally have very good player analysis. You said all of that, but failed to mention that MEAN stiff arm.

Beanie would be proud.
