Drew Barker (official thread)

We'll have our pick of Crest, Barker, and Kizer.

This is interesting to me as Kizer has stated on multiple occasions that he grew up rooting for scUM. I hope you're right though. I personally would take any (or 2) of the three and be happy. Then again all three have two more years to develop at the high school level so I imagine one of them will rise to the top just a higher than the others.

You also have to consider that whoever jumps on board at QB for the '14 class is going to be willing to come in behind a read option stud in Barrett who could potentially have 4 years of eligibility left (I think 3, but possibly 4). I personally don't think we'll get to "pick" from these 3, but I think we'll get one and it's going to be up to Urban if he wants the Braxton mold, the Terrelle mold or the Boeckman mold (though Barker I'm sure will be more highly touted & mobile than Todd).

Also the kid from my area in Caleb Henderson. He's a darn good player, not sure if he's as good as the others but he's gonna come in and fight for an offer and an absolute lock if he gets an offer.

Who do you like better for us?

The staff clearly has Crest on top.

I think people put too much stock into Kizer's statement that he grew up a Michigan fan. So did Brandon Saine and Beanie Wells.

OSU can't go wrong with either one. The question will be whether they want to take two.

I think if crest is number 1, then, imo, they have barker number 1a. They are very interested in him, and the feeling is mutual. I sort of get the feeling that kizer might be number 3 on their board at this early stage.

Different era in recruiting as Meyer has proven he could recruit a top QB every year. Didn't he get Newton the year after Tebow? And after Newton Brantley was highly rated even though he didn't pan out. So trust the recruiting prowess of Coach Meyer!
