Claims offers from Maryland, UTEP, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Ohio State...Uban's visit made quite an impression.

Looks like a stud though I will say it looks like his competition is weak sauce. Nobody could tackle a receiver in that film! Great pocket presence though.

The competition isn't the best. Best competition in Maryland is in the counties bordering DC.

Dunbar beat my alumni (Havre de Grace) last year in the 1A state title game & our neighbors to the east (Perryville) this year and neither were very good....that being said, they both could have beaten Dunbar. 1A teams are usually pretty small....Dunbar does have some good athletes though & as always, I'll trust the coaching staff.

He's got a pretty funky throwing motion. Almost like he's throwing a dart or a paper airplane. Can't argue with his results in that film, though.

Agreed, he hit his targets and it isn't his fault that his receivers got so many yards after the catch that they probably would not have against stiffer competition.

Not only that but he throws that out route and the post to the corner of the endzone better the a lot of college QB's I've seen.

BN $ - Top Soph QB: 'Ohio State is No. 1'

    5/16

By BK...says he favors OSU but will go through the process.

Rated #47 overall and the #3 pro-style QB in 247's early Top 100...

I assume that's an error in 247's part...?

Only question is whether or not he'd be a good fit for Urban's offense. We saw what happened with Brantley.

I'm not sure why you'd compare the two. Crest is listed as a Dual-Threat QB on Rivals.

Would say this kid looks closer to Leak than Brantley(purely a skills comparison). Brantley was just a statue with no movement in the pocket either and took hits. This kid is pro style but at least can move around and if there is a clear opening he has enough speed to pick up some yards.

We'll see. Have some decent QB options for 2014.
