Speed guys would probably be a better way to put it. I think 3 of the 4 end up on D. Skill position refers to QB, RB, WR and TE, not CBs or Safeties.

CB's are definitely skill position players in my book. A true corner definitely has ball skills and are very rare. A great CB usually has one of the longest tenures in the NFL for that reason. Heck they will even hold onto older CB's just to add depth in the NFL. Winfield and Springs are prime examples of this...Its hard to believe either could still be playing in their mid to late 30's

@AllenTrieu Grand Rapids Christian (Mich.) junior WR Drake Harris says he spoke with Urban Meyer, Brady Hoke, Butch Jones and Will Muschamp today

I can't see Sparty keeping this one with all of the national attention he's getting. I would be beyond stunned if they were able to keep him.

Wow...just saw that film and I think there is a good chance Harris is the top WR in the country for 2014 from what I have seen. He is at least #1 on my board, and the staff's for that matter. Silky smooth, gets in and out of his cuts well, deceptively agile, outstanding hands, and great body control. Classic go-up-and-get-it receiver but with tons of speed to go with it (reference the 3:50 mark). Reminds me of a taller Braylon Edwards (hate to say that but eerily reminiscent to me). Would love to have him on board, he brings a whole different skill set than what we already have. I think he flips from MSU for sure, question is where. As of now, we are looking pretty good though.

247Sports 2014 All-American Team

WR- Drake Harris, Grand Rapids (Mich.) Christian

The Grand Rapids (Mich.) Christian standout became the first receiver in state history to eclipse the 2,000-yard mark, finishing the season with 91 receptions for 2,015 yards and 25 touchdowns. In the state championship, the 6-foot-4, 180-pound Harris caught eight passes for a finals record 243 yards and a touchdown in winning all the marbles. Harris committed to Michigan State to play both football and basketball back in June, however, he recently decided to focus on just the gridiron when he gets to the next level. With that, Harris has reopened his recruitment, and besides the Spartans, he is also considering offers from Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State. Harris is currently ranked as the nation?s No. 6 receiver and No. 56 prospect overall by the 247Composite.

The M Block - Quick Update on Drake Harris

2/9

I was able to have a quick chat with elite 2014 WR Drake Harris tonight. Harris is currently committed to Michigan State but most feel that commitment won't stick now that he will focus only on football. Committed 2014 Michigan QB Wilton Speight has been talking with Drake about switching his commitment to Michigan and I asked Drake about those conversations.

"Wilton was just like, 'I want a top receiver like you to be able to throw the ball to.' He also said that I should hit him up sometime when he's in Ann Arbor and maybe me and him can meet up and throw. I will probably do that when he comes up here."

Drake also told me that he doesn't really have a top team right now but he is "very interested in the University of Michigan." Wilton has told me that he promises he can get Drake to commit to Michigan so this will be a fun situation to monitor.
