(sarcasm) C'mon Urban. You know Hugh Freeze would have took him on the cruise and given him the keys to the cruiseship after. Get with it! (sarcasm)

But it is unfortunate he is visiting scUM instead.

The good news is he was probably going to visit TTUN before a decision anyways. Maybe now we'll be his last visit before he wants to decide!

Recruiting: Grand Rapids Christian's Drake Harris continues visiting Michigan
March 5, 2013
By Tim Sulliva
Detroit Free Press Special Writer

Michigan?s football recruiting under Brady Hoke has been nothing but a success. The Wolverines? 2012 recruiting class was ranked No. 7 nationally by Rivals.com, and the 2013 group, which signed in February, came in No. 5 in the nation.

Despite strong classes ? particularly on the offensive and defensive lines and at linebacker ? there has been one glaring hole in U-M?s overall recruiting. The Wolverines have yet to sign an elite receiver. The top wideout Michigan has brought in, 2012 signee Amara Darboh, was No. 215 nationally. While he was a solid four-star prospect, that made him just the No. 30 wide receiver in the nation.

The Wolverines? fortunes could be changing when it comes to wide receivers, and in the 2014 class, it may come at the expense of rival program Michigan State.

Grand Rapids Christian wide receiver Drake Harris committed to the Spartans over the summer, but after choosing to concentrate on football ? rather than a two-sport college career on the gridiron and the basketball court ? has re-opened his recruitment to a degree. That has included unofficial visits to Ann Arbor the past two weekends for U-M basketball games.

"It was great," Harris said of the most recent trip, for a 58-57 Michigan victory over Michigan State. "I sat with (U-M quarterback) Devin (Gardner) the whole game and really enjoyed that. I feel all of the love I'm getting from the coaches and kids on the team."

That his visit Sunday came for a game against Michigan State is particularly compelling for fans of each football program. Did Harris have a tough time deciding which to cheer for ? the school hosting him, or the one to whom he still considers himself a ?soft commitment??

"Yeah, it was real tough picking who to cheer for," he said with a laugh.

It?s easy to see why Michigan wants to pull the No. 56 prospect in the country according to Rivals.com away from Michigan State. The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder set a state record with 2,016 receiving yards as a junior, and should see his star continue to rise.

He also plans to spend a third consecutive weekend in Ann Arbor, to see the Wolverines host Indiana Sunday. If things continue to go well, he could eventually be trading in his Green and White gear for Maize and Blue.

ridiculous. have no idea why he was wasting his time with basketball all these years. would be scary to think how great he'd be had he been solely dedicated to football the last 2-3 years.

Heaven forbid he should waste his time doing things he enjoys, and not what you want him to do.
