'14 NC RB Elijah Hood (Notre Dame Decommit; UNC Verbal)

Really? Over Hurd?

edit: I know Hurd is listed as an athlete. But I think he is being recruited as a RB. Which is why I ask, over Hurd?

I still see Hurd as the kind of guy you bring in and figure out what to do with him later. Believe me, Hurd is high on my board as well and I would really like to see the staff go after him hard. But as far as pure RBs, I love Hood.

Word is ND are the early sentimental favorites.

We lose Hyde and Hall nest year I would lover to replace them with Hood and Autry,

Hood is perfect for this offense with the inside trap play and Dave play(yea it was still there) that Hyde was so effective with. And those are the type of plays on his film. Quick up the gut burst before the dline gets set takes the spread to the next level.

I see Autry primarily in the slot...which oddly enough leaves the top of my wish list in NC with Hood and Scott. We are in good shape with both (likely behind just one other school for both at this point) and both offer elite talent and completely different skill sets.

Scout $ - Hood talks top schools

2/12

By Clark....Likes Coach Drayton & the fact that tOSU has one of the largest fan bases in America. Also likes the Business program at Ohio State & believes they will be a top team for years to come. Will focus on these six schools (posted above) and wants to make a decision ASAP.

Hood has big weekend ahead

By Phil Kornblut
RB Elijah Hood of Charlotte will hit the road this Thursday for three unofficial visits to the Midwest. Hood will stop in at Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State for a closer look. He goes into this trip with the Irish his leader over North Carolina and Clemson. "Great education, great football, great following and they are on TV every week," Hood said of the Irish. Hood could not make Clemson's recent junior day and said he won't make the one in early March either. He went to Georgia Tech's junior day and is going to North Carolina March 9th for the Duke basketball game. Georgia and Purdue are his most recent offers. Hood would like to make his decision before his season but does not have a definite date.

Elijah Hood recaps his recent road trip
February, 24, 2013
By Tom VanHaaren | ESPN.com

Before his visits to Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State, running back Elijah Hood (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Catholic) had a top five of Notre Dame, North Carolina, Clemson, Michigan and Ohio State. That list, however, is soon to change.

"I have to wait and think about it, but there will be some movement on that list. Both Michigan and Ohio State will move up," he said. "One of these three schools will be my leader, but I have to talk with my family first. I'd like to get the new top five out as soon as possible."

Props to Wade for tuning me onto this guy. He's my favorite RB in this class by far. I like Hurd and would love to take both but if I could only have one of the two it would be Hood. He looks better than Derrick Green to me. BEAST.
