'14 NC RB Elijah Hood (Notre Dame Decommit; UNC Verbal)

Of the original top 3 we are closest to home. I'd love to land this guy. Personally I like him more than Green from the last class. Would be an excellent combo with Campbell.
It also wouldn't shock me to see his new top 3 be North Carolina, Virginia, & Virginia Tech, if proximity to to home is a big factor now. Safe to say we are all crossing our fingers this isn't the case, because Elijah has that blend of speed and power that would be a perfect fit for this team and this coach.

Hmmm, anybody know where his interest is shifting?
A lot of people thought UNC before he committed because he mentioned staying close to home as being a top priority. That obviously didn't matter too much when he committed to ND, but there are a few who still think that's where he ends up.

Makes sense. I've been kinda busy and haven't followed recruiting as closely this year as years past, and was just curious if this was somebody Urban could work his magic on.

Wow, gotta say among anyone possibly leaving in the 2014 class this one is the most surprising. Kid was pretty high on ND and was a driving force to help recruit others to the school. On the plus side we did pretty well in '13 with Bryant and Folston, so theres not a lot of worry at that position at this time. Kid is still a stud and is a leader imo. He'll do well wherever he ends up.

Hood decommitted from ND due to, I don't really see urban and staff being able to work anything since cbus is just as far from north carolina. He'll probably end up at UNC or another ACC school, but he's most likely staying in the south east
