Quenton Nelson amped over OSU offer
September, 18, 201
By Brad Bournival | ESPN.com

It took two game films for Ohio State to get excited about Quenton Nelson (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Catholic). It took one television program for Nelson to like what the Buckeyes have to offer.

Speaking of offers, Ohio State gave one to the 6-foot-5, 285-pound offensive tackle out of the class of 2014. And the Buckeyes did it site unseen as Nelson has never been to any of Ohio State?s camp. But offensive line coach Ed Warinner, who is recruiting Nelson, knows a good lineman when he sees one.

?I sent him my first two game films and he really liked them,? Nelson said. ?It?s a pretty big offer. It gives me a great opportunity to build a good relationship with him.?

Quenton Nelson likes OSU's 12-0 chances
October, 28, 2012
By Brad Bournival | ESPN.com

One of the hottest 2014 recruiting commodities as of late has a prognostication for how Ohio State will finish its season: 12-0.

At least that?s what offensive tackle Quenton Nelson (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) said following an unofficial visit to Penn State for Ohio State?s 35-23 win over the Nittany Lions.

There were quite a few people who penciled in a Penn State win over the Buckeyes before the game. Nelson wasn?t so sure.

He also has a little more admiration for Ohio State, so much so that he doesn?t see the Buckeyes losing in games against Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan to close the season.

ESPN - ACC, Big Ten visit 2014 OT Quenton Nelson

11/26

One of the top prospects in the New Jersey in the Class of 2014, Quenton Nelson (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) has 15 offers already. Two of those programs stopped in to check up on Nelson on Monday.

North Carolina assistant David Duggan was at Red Bank Catholic on Monday, as was Northwestern assistant Bob Heffner. Both are recruiting the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Nelson for their respective schools.

Nelson is expecting another Big Ten program to come through the school Tuesday. Ohio State assistant Ed Warriner, the Buckeyes' offensive line coach, will be at Red Bank Catholic on Tuesday. He is also Nelson's lead recruiter.

BN $ - Top Buckeye OL Target Sets OSU Trip

2/26

By BK...being recruited on both sides of the ball but OSU likes him on offense...visiting OSU at the end of March with his parents.

Underrated kid, IMO.

Agreed. Very talented and tons of versatility...I could see Nelson at RT, interior OL, SDE, or DT. I just now realized he is #66 overall on Rivals. Plus it seems like we are in really good shape with Nelson...give me Nelson to add to Trout and Jones, plus two more tackles and I am good.

Rivals has him highly rated. The others do not. I just don't see that much of a difference between Nelson and someone like Mason Cole whose 247 composite is MUCH higher.

Ditto. I honestly see the two as almost identical stylistically and in terms of talent. I like Nelson's versaility a bit better though.
