Wednesday, Manalapan (N.J.) wide receiver, Saeed Blacknall, picked up offers from two of the most prestigious football programs in the country: Ohio State and Florida State. He is now up to 10 offers and has officially been cast as a national recruit. The 6-3, 200-pounder with 4.4-second 40-yard dash speed, has become highly coveted due to his ability to fly and adjust to the football while in mid-air.

"Most of these schools say they love my speed. I ran a 4.45 at Rutgers, but right now, I'm doing indoor track and I got a lot faster," said Blacknall. "Schools also like the way I adjust to the ball, my route running and the way I can turn little plays into big plays."

Additional schools that have offered Blacknall include Rutgers, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan, Old Dominion and Pitt. Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Miami and UNC also appear on the verge of extending offers in the near future.

"All the big schools, right now, like Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia Tech and Florida State, they all speak for themselves," he said. "Those are all great programs but until I see all those colleges in-person, that's when I'll be able to tell you a top school or my favorite. So I'm just waiting to see them in-person and make a top five."

Rutgers recruiting: Manalapan's Saeed Blacknall expands on Tuesday's unofficial visit

March 07, 2013

Wednesday, NJ.com provided impressions from recruits who were on Rutgers' campus Tuesday for unofficial visits. Manalapan (N.J.) wide receiver, Saeed Blacknall, was arguably the most sought-after recruit in attendance. Find out the full gamut of his feelings about the Scarlet Knights after his latest visit to the Rutgers campus.

"Today was a great day at Rutgers," Blacknall told NJ.com Tuesday evening. "I got to meet the new staff members, coach Prince and Wilson. They explained to me how I was going to fit in at Rutgers."

According to Blacknall, he found out Tuesday that there was another side to the Rutgers program that he knew little about, previously.

"Today was a different type of visit that gave me a deeper insight into Rutgers football, and made me understand the mission Rutgers is trying to accomplish," he said.

Devier Posey 2.0

Would like to see the staff push hard here for a visit. LSU likely still in the driver's seat but a visit to Columbus could change things.
