Keith Niebuhr ‏ @KeithRIVALS Per his coach, 2014 WR Shaquille Davidson of Gaffney (SC) has added offers from #OhioState & #Wake

He's got the whole package. RBs covet the vision and stiff arm he already has. Plays much bigger than his listed height. I'm with southcampus. I hope the staff lays out the red carpet for Shaquille.

Davidson ready to bounce back from knee injury

By Phil Kornblut
Junior WR Shaq Davidson (6-1 175) of Gaffney was on his way to a big sophomore season until he tore the ACL in his right knee in week seven. Prior to the injury, Davidson had 29 catches for 683 yards and 8 touchdowns. Davidson spent the off season rehabbing the knee and is now 100%. He did not make it to camps over the summer but did visit North Carolina. ?I want to take a lot of visits this season,? Davidson said. Right now his strongest recruiting is coming from USC, Ohio State, Georgia and North Carolina. They have offered along with Clemson, Wake Forest, Tennessee and NC State. Davidson does not have favorites though his two favorite college players were AJ Greene (Georgia) and Terrell Pryor (Ohio State). Davidson said he has not thought about when he wants to even think about making a decision.

Davidson has Gamecocks in top four

By Eric Guimaraes
Junior WR Shaq Davidson (6-1 170) of Gaffney has offers from USC, Clemson, North Carolina, Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, NC State and Wake Forest with interest from Florida State, Alabama, Auburn and Notre Dame. Davidson did say he does not have any favorites but four schools do stand out. "My top four are South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio State and Georgia in no order," he said. "Those are the schools recruiting me the hardest." Davidson has visited Clemson and UNC and plans to visit USC this fall. "I liked Clemson," said Davidson. "I like the atmosphere and the coaches. I'll go back for a game this year." He also likes the coaches at USC and UNC. Speaking on the Gamecocks he said, "They've got a pretty good team down there". In seven games as a sophomore he had 29 catches and nine touchdowns. Davidson returned a kick for another score

Davidson makes return visit to USC

By Phil Kornblut
Amongst the crowd Sunday at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia for the USC-Tennessee basketball game was Gaffney WR Shaq Davidson. Davidson was back in Columbia for the second straight weekend after attending the junior day the previous weekend. Davidson said he had minimal contact with the football coaches Sunday at the game but got plenty of football information on the prior visit. "I got to know the coaches better and they talked to my dad about school and other stuff," Davidson said. Davidson is scheduled to go to Georgia Saturday but if his basketball team wins Wednesday, he won't be able to make the visit. He's supposed to go to North Carolina the next weekend but again, that depends on his basketball schedule. And he plans to attend Clemson's next junior day March 2nd. Davidson said at this point USC remains the leader. "USC is up top right now with Georgia, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Ohio State," he said. "They make me feel at home when I'm there and I like the coaching staff and atmosphere. And they have nice facilities." Davidson wants to trim his list to five by the start of football season.

Shaq Davidson goes from FBS Gamecocks to FCS Gamecocks

Shaq Davidson may have left South Carolina, but he’ll still be a Gamecock in 2016.

Davidson first hinted on Twitter then confirmed to 247Sports.com that he has decided to continue his collegiate playing career at Jacksonville State.
.
.
As the Gamecocks play at the FCS level, the wide receiver will be eligible to play immediately in 2016.
.
.
A four-star member of USC’s 2014 recruiting class, Davidson was rated as the No. 5 player at any position in the state of South Carolina and the No. 30 receiver in the country.

Richardson never lived up to that lofty recruiting pedigree, however, as he took a redshirt as a true freshman and tore an ACL last August. Then, he was reportedly dismissed by first-year head coach Will Muschamp this past February.
