ESPN Watch List safety Jamal Adams (Carrollton, Texas/Hebron) has a dozen offers, and every offer makes him smile, but even he had to admit there was something a little different after picking up an offer from Ohio State on Thursday.

Adams? 12th offer came after speaking with Buckeyes offensive coordinator Tom Herman. Adams adds the Ohio State offer with ones from Florida, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and several other heavyweight programs.

?It?s big,? Adams said of his latest offer. ?It?s a big program, like Florida or Alabama, and it?s a great D-1 school that I?m very interested in. I think it can put me where my dreams want me to go."

Don't know much about him but FWIW, 247 has him ranked the 8th best safety and 84th best player.

They also have his top 2 as Texas and Oklahoma with Alabama rounding out his top 3.

Not sure where we stand as he just got the offer.

A five-star Scout.com prospect, Hebron defensive back Jamal Adams is one of the most sought after recruits in the country.

On Wednesday afternoon, he took to Twitter to announce his top six, which included Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Texas and Texas A&M. The schools were posted in no particular order.

Adams attended Texas? camp this weekend and said he enjoyed his time on campus and has a strong relationship with secondary coach Duane Akina. Adams also took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M earlier this spring and said he was ?blown away.?

There is no timetable for Adams to make a decision, but he does know what he?s looking for.

?Just the best fit for me,? Adams told Scout.com. ?Academics is always going to be there [as a factor]. Just the best opportunity for me as a freshman and the best fit.?
