November, 27, 2012
By Brad Bournival | ESPN.com

Ohio State?s full-court press for Da?Shawn Hand (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge) continued Tuesday when assistant coach Zach Smith popped into the ESPN Watch List junior?s school to check in on the 6-foot-4, 245-pound defensive end.

The visit came on the heels of Hand?s unofficial visit to Columbus on Saturday, where he saw the Buckeyes complete an undefeated season with a 26-21 win over Michigan.

?He asked if I enjoyed the visit and what I thought of the game,? Hand said. ?The visit shows they really care.?

If for some reason this happens, Coach Smith gets all the credit in the world. He has Virginia ties and has done a fantastic job staying in front of Hand and the staff at Woodbridge. Long way to go but he is doing work.

Is it just me, or does this seem to be the trend with this staff? I don't want it to seem like I'm dogging our previous staff's recruiting efforts because you can't discount the quality of the athletes we brought in, but this staff is EVERYWHERE!

Like Meyer said, that's one benefit to not playing in the Big 10 title game or in a bowl, the staff can just focus on hitting the recruiting trail hard

That doesn't make much sense... that would mean the interview is almost two weeks old. Why in the world would they wait that long?

The article makes no mention of a previous OSU visit (it does talk about other visits he has made), and I doubt a Maryland site would be the only ones reporting a second visit to Ohio State in three weeks. Not to mention, the writer says he's vising THIS weekend.

No idea why it would take so long to print the article, but I'm almost positive it uses old quotes.
