VA S Quin Blanding (Virginia Signee)

Blanding wanted to verbal early so he could help the recruiting efforts for the in state school. I look at the state of VA recruiting this year and you have 5 guys in the top 100 with some real studs. I just wonder if UVA doesn't add any of them if Blanding might have second thoughts on his choice. Would absolutely LOVE to add him to the class. Thinking of him in the backfield with Bell....yikes.

I agree. I hope he's not totally sold on uva. I don't want to think of him with bell because my head may explode. I personally don't think uva gets too many of that in state talent because most of the guys are looking out of state for school

I'm not sure this one is over yet either. We'll see, but I doubt he sees any results on the field and it looks more and more like the in-state recruits are looking at Va Tech and out of state schools.
That's what I am thinking. Long, long way from Feb and the fact he listed us as #2 is hard to ignore. Given his elite status I can't imagine the staff will give up on him. For prime flip candidates I put Watson as 1A and Blanding at 1B.

I think in this case, the fact is overrated. If I remember right, he had to think about who the #2 was. If he had to think like he did, that probably means there was one school, and the rest was far far away. It's like Jalin Marshall calling ND his #2. tOSU was by far the #1 school for him.

What newspaper are you from? LA Times? Well, I had UVA #1, but had USC #2...what newspaper you from, Miami Herald? Well, I had UVA #1, but had 'da U' #2. What Newspaper you from? Dispatch? Well I had UVA #1, OSU #2 and so on. Makes sense to me.

Other thought, was that most Virginia kids gravitate to Va Tech rather than UVA (other than tennis players it seems).

Mike London is going into his 4th year at UVA with a 16-21 record, including two 4-win seasons. Wouldn't be surprised to see him let go if they don't win this year.

UVA went 4-8 last year, with one of those wins being against FCS (I-AA) Richmond, and two of their remaining three wins being by one point at home (one was against Penn State, though).

Sticking with my gut here. Quin is this year's elite last minute flip like Wilson last year. Adding him with Webb and Lattimore to the secondary we already have will make everyone say it's the deepest, most talented secondary unit ever at tOSU.

There I said it.

:oh:(*****Quin Blanding. Quin Blanding. Quin Blanding.*****) :io:

edit: I read somewhere he was possibly enrolling early. Sheesh...there goes my theory.
