Boy is he impressive. Everything that BJ Mullens didn't have, this kid has in spades.

Tactically, Stephen would be a fantastic fit for this team on both ends of the floor. Hope we didn't get in on him too late.

INDIANAPOLIS ? Stephen Zimmerman is still a young buck. His arms are skinny. His body is svelte and underdeveloped. He has the face and laid-back demeanor of a 15-year-old in a skater park. His stringy, brown hair dangles even lower with sweat when he competes.

And in a showcase pool play basketball game at the adidas Invitational here today he scored just eight points, two of the hoops coming late in an 80-58 romp over Dorian?s Pride, an AAU outfit out of Saginaw, Mich.

That information alone would lead one to believe that Zimmerman is unremarkable, but that is not the case.

The nearly 7-foot product of Las Vegas actually is one of the top 2015 prep prospects in the nation and currently has a list of major college suitors longer than his towering torso.

One of the schools doing the chasing is Ohio State. In fact, assistant coach Jeff Boals was prominent in an endline chair at the auxiliary gym of North Central High School. Earlier in the day, Thad Matta was in nearly the same seat.
