Ohio State offered 2015 Cleveland RB Jerome Baker last week, and he picked up Louisville and Florida offers today. More @FOXSportsNEXT sites

Scout $ - Baker Ready for Busy Weekend

7/26

By Berk....Attending Friday Night Lights tonight & visiting TTUN on Sunday. Prefers playing Linebacker right now because he likes to hit, but says that could change. Grew up an Ohio State & Penn State fan.

One of my favorite players from camp, Jerome Baker, worked out as a running back. Baker was very impressive at running back, but more than likely he will end up at linebacker. He was very quick in running back toss drills and flashed the ability to make one move and get up field. I watched him quite a bit and I didn't see him drop a pass and he showed very good route running skills. On one play he made the corner look silly and scored with an easy touchdown grab. In the camp scene, I couldn't find a single weakness. Baker, Webb, and Glover-Williams were probably the three most impressive players that I saw working out.

Baker looks super athletic at LB, can't wait to see how he develops. From that film and what was said about him at FNL, I hope the staff goes after him hard. We're going to need some more depth at LB following this year, and we've had 1 too many leave this past offseason for the coaches to be thrilled about depth, let alone quality all around.

Early favorite for the top kid in Ohio for '15.

Also proves why putting out lists as early as 247 and ESPN do is stupid, but whatever.

Idk about that one. EGW showed, especially at FNL, that he's most likely the top in Ohio for 2015. But baker won't be far off

i think jerome looks like a leo, but... shoot... just get him on campus and figure out the rest later. from linebacker to tight end to nose guard, i think it's just a matter of getting jerome to the right weight and then letting him go.
