I did? Caain't wait to tell Pa I passed...

It's always good when athletes do well in the classroom. GPA averages for UGa football team 2.875, basketball team 2.45 overall men 2.89.

Steve - on the article I linked, I thought it was interesting that for both the men and women, Tennis had one of the lowest team GPA's.

I concluded two things:

1. Either the Tennis program doesn't give a shit about their classroom performance (certainly a possibility).

2. Both teams have a high influx of foreign scholarship players that might be struggling with American studies or classes taught in english.

Hot Seat Index

3 = Wouldn?t Surprise at All

Heat Index Number = 3

3. Les Miles, Louisiana State

not a chance. unless he absolutely tanks, you can't fire this guy yet.

three 11 win seasons, 2 division crowns, 1 conf champ, and a Nat. title, with 4 double digit wins in bowl games.
if you fire him, good luck finding a competent willing to take a job where that 4 year run ain't good enough to please the athletic department.

remember what happened at Nebraska?
ran off Solich after a 9 win season, 2 years removed from being in National Championship game.
Suddenly nobody wanted to coach at a school with as much tradition as any other.

I agree with Fiu - the season looks to some down to 3 games: at LSU, the Cocktail Party, and the SEC Title game. They don't play Bama or Ole Miss, unless it's the CCG, and they're too good to lose to the Ole Ball Coach, Bobbah, or anybody else on the schedule.

They get 10 ratings at QB, LBs, and DBs.

TV money bolsters UF athletic budget | news-press.com | The News-Press

GAINESVILLE - Thanks largely to the new TV money, Florida's athletic budget for the 2009-10 school year will increase to just under $89 million, or almost 7.5 percent from a year ago, despite giving $6 million back to the university for academics.

Since FSU is now experiencing season ticket sales and athletic department revenue deficits, hopefully the gap between the two program's facilities and recruiting resources will continue.

Nice to see we gave $6,000,000 to academics.
