2012 Offense Discussion

Ohio State is rushing for 59.5% more yards than their opponents give up to everyone else (Differential Rushing Offense is 1.595).

That is higher than ANY DRO of the Tressel era.

Ohio State's Differential Scoring Offense is 1.578 which is higher than any of the Tressel era except 2006 (1.588).

Considering that this is the first year with a new scheme, these numbers are incredible.

OSU v. Illinois: Offensive Breakdown by Ross Fulton at 11W

I always enjoy these breakdowns.

Great psychology to let Miller get the adrenaline out:
The coaching staff appeared to learn from the Buckeye slow starts this season, using Miller on designed runs early to settle him down as a passer and get the rest of the offense functioning.

He was sharp throughout nearly the whole game. He was 12 of 20 but should've been at least 14 of 20 as Stoneburner dropped two perfectly throw balls in the span of three plays, the second drop preventing a long gain as he had broken free over the middle.

I'm glad Ross put up the Wheel.

Watching live I noticed Hyde waving his arm and being wide open. Now I realize he's pointing at Rod Smith as if to say, Look how open Rod is, throw it to him!
