2013 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

I'm still not clear about where we see Jalin playing. Are we looking at him strictly as a RB, or as a WR? Or as a Percy Harvin type receiver?

(I hate making comparisons to great players and always try to avoid it, but I think it's understood as a position name under Urban)

The Harvin type wr/rb is what I'm guessing. He is so explosive that he needs to have multiple ways to make plays. The perfect player for Meyer.

This. As Urban says, you have to find as many ways as possible to get the ball into the hands of your best playmakers. Jalin is the type that you throw to, hand off to, and direct snap to.

This post makes me very happy especially considering Jalin seems to be leaning toward tOSU. :)

Thanks Wade! I hope Lisle gets an offer soon. I see him blowing up some this year. I think OT is a priority next year and 4 or 5 of them would do nicely. We have several in this state that I hope are Buckeyes in the end.

I get the vibe that many would switch 1 and 2 from the above rivals ranking. Both are top flight prospects though.

Burrows is the real deal. I've seen his tape and he is a beast. He is a 6-2, 195lb corner right now and he will get bigger. Not easy to find big corners with the hips that he has. Rivals compares him to NA of the Eagles (although I think he looks a lot like Jimmy Smith of the Ravens), and he has the potential to be one of the best DBs in college. I would rate him number 1 in Ohio next year, with Marshall close behind.

I think Burrows is a tremendous player and a legit 5 star, but I would still have Jalin a little higher. Also, Price is low at 7...only other guy I could see above him at the 3 spot is maybe Thomas. Only other real beefs is that McCray may be a tad high and Zaire at 14 is a joke.

The thing that makes me so excited about Ohio State football right now is that, with this list... I really don't even care. I mean, I'm happy Ohio is producing great kids like this, and I love the home-state guys, but this is a different team now. Before, it was "alright, the Ohio guys are in the bag, and hopefully we can nab a few others from around the country." Now, it's "alright, let's make a list of the absolute best guys at each position... those are the guys we have a legit shot with."

I know what you mean. Im excited about the Ohio class, but not as much as in the past because I know we are now a team that will legitimately have a chance at kids from everywhere nationally. Im now looking at the national list of best players more intently, and plan on seeing us listed with Alabama, Texas, usc, lsu, etc.

Free Rivals - Army All-Combine Team: Offense

QUARTERBACKS

First Team: Brogan Roback, 6-4/185, Toledo (Ohio) St. John's

Roback showed off a strong arm, especially on his short and intermediate passes, and what was really impressive was how he spun the ball. Not only did the ball come out well, but Roback also was very accurate during one-on-ones. We would have liked to have seen some deeper routes to see how strong Roback's arm really is, but he did a good job during his reps and was probably the most consistent quarterback at the combine.

Honorable Mention
Malik Zaire, 6-1/190, Kettering (Ohio) Archbishop Alter

WIDE RECEIVERS

First Team: Robert Foster, 6-3/170, Monaca (Pa.) Central Valley; Ahmad Fulwood, 6-4/197, Jacksonville (Fla.) Bishop Kenny

Foster caught almost every pass thrown his way, showed off great hands, ran great routes and he has great body control. The Pennsylvania recruit backed up all his impressive offers and has to be considered among the best receivers in the East. He's also competitive and didn't shy away from going up against cornerbacks who wanted to battle him during one-on-one drills. Fulwood is long and lean, strides really well and when the ball was anywhere near his hands he hauled it in.

Honorable Mention
Thaddeus Snodgrass, 6-1/170, Springfield, Ohio (2014)

OFFENSIVE LINE
Honorable Mention
Sam Mustipher, 6-3/270, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel (2014)
