Just waiting for Ohio State’s complete team to show up.
When the offense is clicking, the defense forgets how to play. When the defense is stingy, the offense stinks.
Look at the Indiana game.
The defense held the Hoosiers to 10 points in the first half but the OSU offense mustered six points. In the second half when OSU seemingly pulled away, the defense allowed Indiana to get right back in it.

Hopefully, before it’s too late, OSU can put it together on both sides of the field. That said, the Buckeyes are averaging more than 30 points and 500 yards a game so it can’t all be that bad.

And quite frankly I was quite entertained with what I saw.

Here’s a recap …..

Scott
A win: It was a nail-biter. But it was a win.
Off and running: Zeke finally got untracked for some big gains.
No short balls: Still waiting for some deep balls.
No false starts: Woo hoo!

Mali Buckeye
No. False. Starts: See the above woo hoo!
Focus: Hocus pocus. It disappeared, especially in the second half with fumbles and stupid penalties.
Getting stretchy: Still waiting. There is enough speed on this team. WRs should be able to blow by guys. But it all starts with the running game. Keep Zeke going and the secondary will open.
INTD: Would have been nice.
Haynes Heisman campaign continues: Very funny

Joe
Stop the run: Indiana had 176 total, but 98 came from backup QB Zander Diamont — 79 on one TD run. So I think they did a good job. Didn’t hurt that Jordan Howard was gimpy.
Throw the rock: Bucks had 245 passing. Not bad. Not great. Had 27 attempts. I’m OK with that.
Get Curtis Samuel involved: He tried to get involved at the wrong time.
Return of the Jalin: Two huge fumbles cost OSU 10-14 points. He will have better days.
Keep the streaks alive: Well, at least there is that. IU will have to wait to beat OSU again.
Patrick
A sense of urgency on offense: The jury is out on this one. I think Coach showed it in the second half, switching blocking schemes to get Zeke going.
Passing efficiency: The numbers aren’t hateful but something still isn’t clicking.
Silver Bullets: Defense played well for the most part in the first half , but it got too leaky late in the second half.
Charles
Consistent quarterback play: Again, numbers are OK. But Cardale still seems a step or two off.
Stop the run with the front seven: Except for the one 79-yard TD run late in the game, I think the defense stopped the run.
Hang on to the ball: See above. TOs still continue to hurt.
Ken
A win: Got that.
No injuries: Corey Smith is done for the year. That’s gonna hurt.
Zeke gets 25-30 carries: He got 23 but he looked like the Zeke of last year.
A new face: They are all still part of the crowd.
WVa Buckeye
The Marshall plan: The plan should be to hang on to the ball.
The Zeeeeeeeeke punch: Should have made the blocking switch earlier. Zeke could have run for 500 yards.
The slobs need to eat: O-Line was improved once Coach changed the blocking.
