WR Jalin Marshall (Edmonton Elks)

I couldn't believe it when they let him have the ball again on offense. I was sure he was done for the night after the brain dead return work.
I'm glad they weren't that foolish. Pull him off of return duties? Sure, but I'm not sure why you'd take away one of the few chain movers on offense.
I'm a fan of the kid. I just thought they'd shut him down like Dunn after he fumbled earlier in the season or Smith last year.
Those guys are on the edge of contributing at all and can't afford any mistakes. Jalin is much more pivotal to this offense.

Agreed. He should have been shut down on return duty. The cameras even showed Jalin getting a talking to from Wilson on the sideline after not letting the ball go into the endzone for a touchback. I can understand that Meyer didn't want to rob him of all confidence but in a big game like that you have to go with experience after a freshman begins to make continual mistakes.

I can live with him fielding it too far back but the multiple attempts to field a bouncing football should have given him some bench time for the night.

I dislike a player picking up a ball with his back to the play, but I am a fan of fielding a bouncing ball that prevents it rolling 15 yards further. Especially if it's right there at hand level. Also OK if near the sideline.

Jalin had made some solid hands plays before. Wasn't all the way focused with his decision making last night, but he'll be alright.

In limited action he made some good plays. Our team is so freaking balanced with speed and athleticism. Marshall is a stud who may steal a number of touches from upperclassmen. He brings a very dangerous wildcat option to the offense

His punt return in itself passed him by Dontre. Jalin has better hands, is MUCH stronger, better initial burst, and just has IT.

Dontre will be ok but i don't think he will ever be what we thought. Excited for Jalin tho
