WR Parris Campbell Jr. (Philadelphia Eagles)

Just to clarify on that slightly misleading title...he set the state meet record...he did not break the overall state record. Still impressive and one of the fastest times run all year nationally.

It'll be fun watching this kid, but he'll need probably at least a year to get used to the WR position at the collegiate level. Not to mention he has a large number of guys in the WR corps. But he could make a name for himself early as a KR or PR, but then again there are a lot of options there as well

I watched him the last couple of years in the OHSAA playoffs. Talented and dripping with potential. He also has redshirt written all over him - simply because of his age - which probably means that everyone in CFB will know who he is this fall.

And also lack of a real position make him a redshirt material. He's been seen as everything from a WR, RB(which I think he ends up), or CB. Redshirting Parris is like knowing a gift your parents got you for Christmas or your birthday and anticipating getting to open it for months.

As usual, things moving fast for Campbell

AKRON, Ohio -- Parris Campbell is headed to Columbus for the weekend.

Next weekend, he'll be there for good.

Before Campbell and the rest of the Ohio State football 2014 recruiting class report for real work next weekend comes Campbell's last act as a high school athlete, this weekend's OHSAA state track meet. He might be Ohio's fastest prep athlete -- he might be fast enough to be on the field for the Buckeyes sooner rather than later -- and the thought that his longtime dream of playing for Ohio State is about to come true has him smiling extra wide these days.
