Kyle Allen (QB Washington Redskins)

http://houston.cbslocal.com/2015/12...en-in-houston-sunday-to-meet-with-tom-herman/

Kyle Allen, who started parts of two seasons for Texas A&M, was in Houston Sunday to explore transfer opportunities with Cougars’ heac coach Tom Herman, SportsRadio 610 has been told by a source.

Allen, a former five-star recruit out of Scottsdale, Ariz., met with Herman and at least one other member of the Houston Cougars staff at an undisclosed location in town. After sitting out the 2016 season, which will be Greg Ward Jr.’s final season, Allen will have two seasons of eligibility.

In 14 starts for the Aggies, Allen passed for more than 3,500-yards and 33 touchdowns. Before taking over at the University of Houston, Herman recruited Allen while the offensive coordinator at Ohio State.

Everything is lining up with Houston, based on Ward's eligibility, Allen's sit-out season, etc. The only thing is, though, I'd be terrified if I were Allen that my redshirt season would be ending just about the time Herman was leaving town.

It feels like Herman is putting something together nice there. He's going to need a top 10 traditional program or NFL offer to leave in my opinion. He has fertile recruiting grounds, getting new facilities, and at a school that has potential to be in BIG 12, plus getting paid well. #6 receiver in high school and potentially Kyle Allen joining in a matter of a week or so... very nice.

Uh, that sounds like he could leave in a few years for UT! 3hrs north and can still recruit same players with better facilities, and a pain in the ass booster and admin that will pay him an inflated paycheck

As reported by Sports Radio 610 last Sunday, the Houston Cougars are thick in the mix for the transfer of former Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen, who confirmed to 247sports.com he’s had several talks with the Coogs.

Allen told the recruiting website: “Colorado State, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Houston are the four I talk to the most,” Allen said. “I don’t want to call them my top four, but I’m going to look harder at the schools talking to me the most.”
