Good points. Where does that leave teams like Miami, BC, UNC, Duke? To the Big East to re-vamp their already stellar basketball conference?

If GT is the next acquisition, I still think we're headed to twenty and UVA, UNC and either BC, Syracuse or Pitt come on board to get to 20. PAC stays at 12, and that's the FOX half of the 64.

If Shalala doesn't just shut down Miami's program, I think they might go to the XII alongside FSU or simply stay in the basketball centered ACC remnants.

Source: Georiga Tech and UVA will announce decision to leave ACC by Monday. Will join Big 10

A little disappointed that we are getting Georiga Tech and not Georgia Tech, though.

I don't know who's going where but I know 10 conference game seasons are coming soon.

No reason to pay UAB, Miami (OH), and UCF $500-$1M each to come to The Shoe when you can play a lap dog ($1M), a solid non-con BCS game (Free), and then feed the BTN (or other conference nets) with content.

It's a net profit of $1-2M if not more depending on BTN payouts from the extra content.

Read in the Dispatch today about Cincinnati trying to join the ACC. Why do they want to even bother with another unstable conference? They should join the BIG XII, they're probably itching to add more teams.

They would jump at the Big XII in a heartbeat. The Big XII so far has not asked them. Teams like FSU, Miami and Clemson are of more interest now.
