i think he's fine. if he has any bias, i think it's often a bias in favor of ohio state if not the big ten in general. he's just there for the effect and not so much the substance anyway.
Used to hate him, but now I'm indifferent. His deal has been that he's loud and bandwagons whatever team's winning incessantly, but as he's aged he's become somewhat less loud and incessant IMO. The bandwagoning's also not nearly as irritating now that OSU is kicking UM's ass every year.
Of course, if I have to listen to Paul Maguire any more, my vote could change to "want to have Musberger's baby" by comparison.
Indifferent, but he uses way too much hyperbole, even for media standards, and he has that horrible excessive and fake-sounding laugh that makes me cringe every time I hear it. But otherwise, he doesn't trash us, and he doesn't bring up the PI every 5 seconds like some do, so I've got no real problem with him.
Used to like him a lot more than I do now. He's gotten too old and senile like Keith Jackson in his late years to where he'll just ramble or get excited about nothing. In the rose bowl he got all hot over a punt that he thought could be downed at the 2 or 3 but was obviously going for a touchback.
When the press was having a field day tearing down Ohio State, he never participated and often defended Ohio State or reminded listeners that allegation had been made, not proven.
Musberger is OK. Now on the other hand Keith Jackson was my least favorite announcer of all time. He hated Woody, the Big 10, and the Buckeyes. He didn't like the fact that when tOSU went to the Rose Bowl, Woody was the Big Story and everyone wasn't taking the time to kiss his ass.
