Butler +3.5 vs Wiscy (ov/un 123.5) Thu 9:57 ET, TBS

I know a lot of people who actually picked Wisconsin to Play Ohio State in the final bracket and i thought that would be a might stretch. Butler has some tuff kids but for Wisconsin to represent the BIG 10 in this fashion was very embarrasing. I don't know what this will show for Ohio State against Kentucky tonight. I sure hope Thad & the rest of the team can play a better game than what we saw from Wicsky. Ugly............
you know a lot of stupid people.

Not much to say about last night. Wisconsin lays another egg in a big game.

Losing Leuer, Nankivil, and even Jarmusz to graduation is going to hurt. Taylor, Gasser, and Berggren are going to have to step up big time if it's going to be another successful season.

Brad Stevens = New Tom Izzo?

I think you might be getting carried away a little bit with that comparison but I do not see Stevens staying at Butler very long. Don't know if he will be gone after this season but they are almost becoming the cradle of basketball coaches.

Wisconsin's Game plan and Demise a mystery!

If you watched the Badger game aganist the Butler Bulldogs last night, and if you know any basketball at all, you had to be yelling at the screen for them "to take it inside". Like the village idiot they seemed to keep banging their head aganist the wall, thinking that their outside shots would eventually fall. They did not. John Louer, deep into the last quarter part of the game had 3 points, I believe, but kept lauching long bricks hoping one would fall. Wisconsin was a much biggger team than Butler and there seemed many chances to "post them up" for scores inside the paint. They did not do that...almost all of their activity came behind the arc.....One has to wonder what Bo Ryan was thinking in this one....A good inside game, begets a lot of outside clean looks...I was dissapointed not only for Wisconson and their fans, but for the Big 10, who really deserved a better effort from the Badgers. It was evident by half time that Bo's game plan, what ever it was, was not working..to come out and repeat it in the 2nd half, with no changes, was a loss waiting to happen! Oh well I guess he will have to DEAL WITH IT! ha ha

FIFY. I've never in my life see a team that plays so far above its talent at home, and then plays exactly according to its talent (or below it) on the road or on a neutral floor.

You're not the first one to put the loss on Bo. I, for one, am not. Wisconsin just couldn't hit anything, especially from long range. Bo's not out there shooting.

Of course, after last night, you have all the knee-jerk reactionaries calling for Bo's job.

The B1G logo is the best of the new ones....in my imo

Absolutely.

When we were speculating on the new name/logo I half jokingly suggested we call it the The Big Conference just to piss everyone off. I love it.

Go B1G!

Then you adjust. You don't have to be a basketball mastermind to realize that if you're bigger than your opponent and you're not hitting any outside shots, you take shit inside.

Apparently he wasn't coaching, either...

To be honest, that's been Wisconsin's modus operandi the entire year. Leuer and Nankivil sit outside the 3-point line and jack up shots. When it worked, it was great. When it didn't, well, the Badgers went down in flames (see: Penn State, Ohio State, Butler).

It kind of makes me wonder about Leuer's true future in the pros. Unless he puts some weight on, he's in danger of becoming a tweener. He's not big enough to muscle down low right now, and he's not that good of a three-point shooter to just sit outside and shoot shot after shot.

Bigger doesn't matter when your team is soft as butter. Did you see the way Howard positioned and ripped away that free throw rebound late? Wisky was so soft inside that they couldn't bang the glass on a free throw with the game on the line, never mind trying to score in the paint.

The Badgers should be glad that they lost this one. Florida would have humiliated them.
