CB Armani Reeves (National Champion)

On a side note.....he does look ripped. I hope gaining all that muscle doesn't slow him down because there were times last year he looked really slow back there. I hope that was more nerves and indecision rather than just pure lack of speed. We need the secondary to be nails this year. Offense is going to need a boost until JT gets his feet wet.

This was from the Steve Miller thread...

Defensive back Armani Reeves, who is the first coverage man on the field in nickel situations, was not on the field last week against Illinois. Meyer wasn’t clear what Reeves’ injury was when The Repository asked him about why Reeves was absent from the field. “He hasn’t been cleared to play this week,” Meyer said. Pressed further, Meyer added, “He’s having trouble focusing. They’re not sure yet.” It is not a concussion. “Not that at all,” the coach added. “I’m not 100 percent sure what it is.”

Any word on this one?

Ohio State football nickel Armani Reeves had a solid week of practice, will play vs. Indiana: Urban Meyer quick hits

Ohio State has been without junior nickel Armani Reeves with the last three games for undisclosed reasons, but coach Urban Meyer said he's available for the Buckeyes' game vs. Indiana on Saturday.

Reeves has 13 tackles on the season, eight of which are solo, and four pass breakups. His reemergence into the defense could bolster Ohio State's secondary.

"He had a good week in practice, he's ready to go." Meyer said Wednesday. "Armani's a great kid and a heck of a player, an emotional guy and give us a little spark."

The nature of Reeves' injury is unknown, but Meyer said he had "trouble focusing" on the Big Ten teleconference a few weeks ago.

Anyone know the status of Armani after being down for a few minutes at the end of the half?

I've been wondering too. I don't think that it was aired on TV because they cut to the half time show.

He was on his back for a good while. I missed what happened to him, but my wife said it looked like he landed flat on his back when he came down.

It did look like he landed on his back and I wonder if he hit his head on the turf when he landed. I was thinking about his issues earlier in the season that caused him to miss a few games.

Anyone know if he played at all in the second half?

I looked, but live it's hard to see everyone on every play. Did not see him on the field in the second.

Coach Meyer just mentioned in his presser that there's a chance Armani may not play again, due to concussion issues.
