Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

Heard that rumor was started by Lombardi himself. No way does Haslam make that choice.
Yeah I hadn't heard the rumor until Buckeneye posted. I did a search for Mike Lombardi on Twitter, and it seems that Grossi bitching about Lombardi was more prevalent than the rumor itself. Go figure, Grossi gets all bent out of shape about a rumor without actually checking the validity of said rumor.

Yeah ever since Grossi left the confines of The PD, he has been a bit dramatic at times. I have heard Bill Polian's name mentioned as a possible replacement at GM. Obviously that is just speculation as well.

Scoring machine:

Apparently they spent the first year and a half teaching Shurmur how to use the damn thing. One row for each game remaining - though I think they're being a bit optimistic with the number of beads.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who worked with Pat Shurmur and Brad Childress in Philadelphia, indirectly put his two cents in with new Browns owner Jimmy Haslam. "That was a fight," he said. "We'll tip our hats to the Browns.

I tell you what, that is a really good football team. That is a very well-coached football team.
Browns

I can see what you are trying to do Harbaugh. You might be able to fool Mary Kay but hopefully you cannot fool big Jim Haslam.

Also, ysubuck mentioned this in the game thread but it is time to bring back the replacement officials. The regular officials are turning the NFL:lol: into a skirt league. You cannot blindside a guy that is trying to catch a guy on your team with the football and you cannot even touch a QB on the shoulders anymore. Maybe you can do the latter but you better not be wearing a Browns uniform.

Also, the NFL needs to seriously look at changing the PI penalty to the same as it is in college. 15 yards for an objective call is enough. Perhaps they could go to a spot foul in the last two minutes of each half but I'm not even sure about that.
