You sell the naming rights of my fucking stadium then DON'T bring me cheerleaders?

Up yours, Jimmy...
He is going to use the money from the naming rights to improve the team and if he does that the hell with cheerleaders. You can go to high school game for that. At least he is not following the Jerry Jones model as we were afraid he might do.

My comment was meant to more lighthearted than serious.

If it needs to be more serious though - I love accepting bids
For millions of dollars from a company that just laid off near
200 employees and cited "economic struggles" as the main
Reason.

Nothing like taking a shot in the chops from a local employer.
I digress, that is a topic for another section of this forum.

I think it was back in the 70's that they invited local high school cheerleaders to work a game. As I recall through the fog blocking my few remaining brain cells, they were booed off the field, in tears. Anybody remember this?

Don't remember that but it is probably true. I do know that a long time ago they had some cheerleaders but just sat on a bench next to the grandstands a long brown thermal insulated coats. No kiddin.

I think the hiring of Kelly by the Eagles puts a little more pressure on Haslam/Banner to win a little more quickly than they might have originally thought unless Kelly bombs at Philadelphia.

Given the Iggles Oline situation, I don't expect him to have any
Instant success.

Vick doesn't have the ability to stay healthy in any system. Let
Alone one that values the QB as a running threat.

How? There's a salary cap and a salary floor. He'll be spending just as much money as before, but now it's someone else's. If anything, that would make it more likely for him to get stupid with it.

Kelly knows his situation, so he knows he will probably have the most power of anyone in the building not named the owner. I don't know if that would have been a good model for the Browns...I guess we won't know much until we see how he does or doesn't win in Phily.

here's the problem. to come close to running anything kelly does, philly needs to use vick. he's due $15 million and has no intention of restructuring since they obviously won't cut him now. That basically FUBARs their cap space, as they are about $18 million over this year, and that's with DRC and a few other contributors being free agents. Good luck.
