DB Cameron Burrows (Official Thread)

I have always felt Cameron was a Malcolm Jenkins-esque type of defensive back. Now, with the Conley news and the liklihood that he is a Buckeye, Cameron can focus on starting where Jenkins is currently making a living - Safety.

A DB class of Woodard & Conley at CB, and Burrows & Thompson at Safety is outstanding. Plus, Darron Lee & Chris Worley as "Big Speed" athletes. One thing on defense it seems Ohio State has lacked, if anything at all, are the big safeties you see on teams like Alabama, LSU and Florida. Burrows is over 6'+ and 200lb+ right now, just wait until Marotti gets ahold of him.

I think if we miss on Vonn Bell, Burrows will start off at safety. We're going to need safeties. Brown, Barnett, and Bryant are all gone after this year and there isint much experience behind those two. Hes enroll king early so hopefully he picks up the defense fast, and is possibly the star/nickle

This is the most versatile DB class I can ever remember us bringing in... no fewer than 4 of those 6 are really good at multiple positions. Makes it a lot easier to be able to put your best 11 out there at the same time when you have talent like that.

Of course this is assuming that Conley and Worley will be a part of this class, but it's looking pretty good...

Yup, and I'm not counting on Bell, though he would be a huge coup if we landed him. At CB for 2014 we should be pretty set with legit players in Doran Grant, Reeves, Woodard, Conley, Murray and whoever we bring in for the 2014 class - I only think we need 1, as we will also have Griffin and Powell here. Then at Safety we will have Burrows, Thompson, Bogard and Tanner, plus Lee is he stays there, so not a ton and mostly young kids. We have offered and are chasing some stud Safeties in 2014, like tops in the country, and I expect to bring even more top tier talent in the next class.

Moved to the main forum since he is now on campus.
Good to know. When I first saw this thread on the latest posts, I saw Burrows without the "is a Buckeye!" tag, I thought he'd decommitted... Took me about 10 seconds to realize what had happened...
