DB Jeremy Cash (transfer to Duke)

Wow, what a fantastic player. Great closing speed, love the physicality, apparent size and he seems comfortable playing the ball in air. His film reminds me a bit of Major Wright's. Here's to hoping the good guys can get him.

Looks like a much better player than a year ago (soph highlights). Much more explosive and looks like a natural safety right now. Based on those previous highlight reels, he seemed to play with LB speed. He looks and plays like a true DB right now IMO.

With scholarship offers already in the bag from the likes of Ohio State, Florida State, Miami and others, Plantation (Plantation, Fla.) safety Jeremy Cash came into Saturday's combine with little to prove. This is South Florida though, and as ESPN RISE has learned through the years, the best in South Florida never back away from competition or getting better and that was just the case with Cash. The 6-0.5, 183-pounder posted outstanding numbers on Saturday that will only add to his status as one of South Florida's best, clocking a 4.56 40, jumping 35.6 inches in the vertical and throwing the power ball 37 1/2 feet for a SPARQ Rating of 96.57.

So I guess that means he can throw the average scUM receiver 18 3/4 feet. Not bad.

Gotta love the speed and intensity he comes with every play. He is coming hard every play. Hits hard and can blitz/play in the box. I'm not sure about him in coverage, it looks like he needs work on his backpedal, but there isn't much to look at there.

He'll fit in perfectly with the silver bullets.

Rivals $ - Upcoming visits will be huge for Cash
February 15, 2010
Brian Snow

Attending a Florida St. junior day this weekend & an Ohio State junior day on Feb. 27... He'll be stopping by Miami-FL this week as well as during their spring practices... Spending time with current players in each program is important to him since they're more likely to tell him the good & the bad... Feels he's developed relationships with OSU players & likes the family environment...

NCAA football recruit Ryan Shazier was the top defender at the Miami Under Armour Combine - ESPN

The safety position was well represented on Sunday featuring a lot of versatility. Jeremy Cash (Plantation, FL) has impressed before and did so again on Sunday. The 6-foot-0 ?, 185-pound Cash clocked a 4.58 40, 4.44 pro agility shuttle, 31-inch vertical and 9-foot, 6-inch broad jump followed by a physical and fast showing in one-on-one and 7-on-7 action.

Cash has offers from Miami, Florida State, Ohio State and North Carolina. Florida is also coming on along with many more.

South Florida Express preaches the team concept this time

The only returnee from last year's squad, safety Jeremy Cash from Plantation, heads a group of talented athletes who would rival last year's team that featured FSU-bound Lamarcus Joyner. Cash, a 6-1, 185-pounder, enjoyed a stellar junior season for the Colonels, and is ready to use the experience he gained last year in this year's tournament. ``I saw how good the athletes were in Tampa last year and know that to win the tournament, we will have to play our best,'' he said. ``But if you look at the team we have, there is no reason to believe that we can't stand toe-to-toe with anyone there.''
