Hey, it's ESPN, they had to add that if OSU is on top!:)
This article is similar, but adds the speculation that UT and Ohio State are the frontrunners.
Tennessee is going to get ran over this year. Hopefully that helps us out
Can't believe Mr. Bell is a serious candidate to add to this class considering our current DB and DL haul. *wipes drool*
As a proud Tennessee resident, I might add a little insight into this comment. UT is scared about what is happening at Vanderbilt right now. For the first time in either program's history, VU is putting pressure on in-state and winning recruits from UT. In fact, VU has picked up commitments from some of the top Tennessee players in 2014 and 2015 already. Many UT fans are starting to see a clear distinction between James Franklin at VU and Derek Dooley at UT and this is going to lead to some serious problems for Dooley if he has a bad year. The "trigger" for UT administrators is going to be much quicker than if they had the luxury to wait for Dooley to build his program because that luxury is going away very (very) quickly. The guys on the radio down here are all over Dooley.
If UT has a bad year, a new staff will be at UT next year. I think we all see what that might mean for Von Bell...
I'd still be more concerned about UGA than UT...
2014 commitments are early. 2015 commitments are stupid at this point. The players need to grow, and then grow into their bodies. Can't happen after the freshman season.
I just went and checked. There are no commitments listed for Vanderbilt for 2014 and 2015 right now on scout.
edit: Also, VB doesn't seem to be that bad compared to Tennessee. They (VB) have a slew of 2* recruits and a few 3* recruits. On the other hand, Tennessee has 2 4* recruits, with a bunch of 2* and 3* recruits. Tennessee is pretty bad for their standards.
This threads not about Vandy, so back to Von Bell after...But the players I was referring to are listed below. I don't know why Scout doesn't list them.
And if you don't believe me about Dooley being on thin ice, that's fine. I happen to live here so I thought I would share that perspective. One really bad year and I'm confident that he's gone.
Jason Robertson, Montgomery Bell Academy, 2014
Donovan Sheffield, Ensworth, 2015.
Scout $ - Bell cuts list, what's next?
By Simmons.....Plans on cutting his list down to three in August or September. Done with visits until it's time for official visits. Plans on deciding in December or January.
Separate names with a comma.
