TERRELL HALL SPEAKING HIS MIND

In case you missed it last Friday, Maryland's recruiting class got its first real big fish of the 2016 cycle when quarterback Dwayne Haskins, Jr. committed to the Terrapins. Immediately, the drumbeats about a revitalization of Maryland football – #MarylandPride – hit the social media circles hard and Ohio State commit Terrell Hall was a focus of many who bleed red, black, yellow, white and whatever other color Maryland uses these days. The mantra, the decree? Maryland takes care of their own, so the kids should stay home and take care of Maryland.

Hall, the country's 8th-ranked weakside defensive end and 130th-ranked overall prospect, didn't appreciate the way he was being talked at by Maryland fans and let loose the dogs of war on Twitter.

It's funny how fans think UMD wanted me from the jump. If anything PSU had me from the jump & I love them for that. OSU is perfect for me

UMD saw me when I was a sophmore and passed up on me. I went to their camp and they still didn't offer me. But they had me from the jump?

I went to their camp because I actually liked the idea of playing at UMD but they payed me no attention until everyone else did.

Ohio State 2016 commitment Terrell Hall in Alabama today, visiting and camping in Tide Country with his teammates. The visit, much like Kareem Walker's visit south last week, isn't a secret and Ohio State is well aware of it. Also, like Walker, Hall is continuing to say the right things privately and the Buckeyes feel comfortable and confident where they stand with the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder, ranked as the country's 9th-ranked defensive end.

11W COMMUNITY INTERVIEW:WASHINGTON, DC FOUR-STAR DEFENSIVE END TERRELL HALL

In November of 2014, the Buckeyes received a commitment from Gahanna, Ohio's Jonathon Cooper, who, at the time, was the country's 13th-ranked defensive end. Ohio State was pursuing a number of big-timers at the position when Washington, D.C.'s Terrell Hall visited Columbus for the first time two weeks later.

Hall, a 6-foot-5, 250-pounder from St. John's College High School, would return to Ohio State in late January for a key Junior Day weekend and it was on that trip he determined he'd be a Buckeye. His commitment officially happened in early March and Hall was back on campus at the end of March.
