DE Noah Spence (Official Thread)

I guarantee nobody is taking ecstasy to improve their performance. Can you imagine someone "rolling" on the football field?!

Lol don't you mean rolling on the field taking off their clothes going this feels amazing....

Also does anyone know if he gets a National Championship ring? I know he's declared ineligable but does that mean he can't be part of the team or just can't participate in practice/competition.

I can't believe they actually think it's a PED. But, I digress?!?!?

I would guess that the conference just designated all amphetamines as performance enhancing drugs, rather than going through some long list of known amphetamines, one-by-one, and determining which ones are performance-enhancing and which ones aren't.

Report: Ex-Buckeye Noah Spence charged with public intoxication

Noah Spence's transfer has not ended his off-field troubles as of yet.

The former Ohio State defensive end and potential future draft pick has enrolled at FCS Eastern Kentucky after missing the entire 2013 season due to what his father said were drug-related suspensions. Spence may already face discipline with the Colonels as well after the Richmond Register reported he had been arrested early Thursday morning on a public intoxication charge.

Spence was also charged with second-degree disorderly conduct. According to the citation reviewed by the Register, a Madison County Sheriff's Department officer saw Spence throw a glass bottle into a street, breaking it.

“Eastern Kentucky University, the Department of Athletics, and the football program are aware of the incident in question involving one of our student-athletes,” an EKU release published by the Register stated. “We will handle the matter internally while also respecting the legal and student judicial processes. We will have no further comment from this point forward.”

who woulda ever guessed.. seriously.. looking back at 2011 recruitment.. ZERO warning signs
time for Spence's dad to shorten this leash to about 6 inches.. move him into the house and commute to Slippery Rock
lost 10 figures since Christmas of 2013.. and a half hiccup from seeing CFL as his most probable highest level

Love ya Spence.. but it's all you bro

SPENCE ALMOST KILlED AN EKU TACKLE. Former Ohio State DE Noah Spence is talented enough to be in the NFL right now, but instead, he's preparing for the upcoming season at Eastern Kentucky.

Dan Hood, EKU's coach and friend of Urban Meyer, talked about Spence yesterday at that aforementioned youth camp outside Ashtabula.

From Ari Wasserman of Cleveland.com:

"There's nobody like Noah Spence on our team. As a matter of fact, we have an offensive tackle who's back that's first-team all-conference, and I had to put him on suicide watch in spring ball going against Noah every day in spring practice. We don't have anybody like him that's on our team or that we're going to play."

"Our drug counseling people contacted the people down at Ohio State. It's the same program," Hood said. "He hasn't missed a counseling session, he has passed every drug test, he has all A's and B's for the semester. He's going to take 12 hours this summer and he's going to graduate in the fall."

Good on Noah. Hope the lesson sticks. Can't imagine what the Bucks would have done to Alabama and Oregon if Spence had been available.
