DE Tyquan Lewis (Indianapolis Colts)

Lewis (and mom) enjoying Ohio State visit

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Hybrid defensive end/linebacker Tyquan Lewis (Tarboro, N.C./Tarboro) came to Ohio State a month ago, hoping to pass the eye test with the Buckeyes.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Lewis did that and more, earning a committable offer at the camp on June 10.

At the Friday Night Lights camp at Ohio State, fans will be happy to know The Horseshoe passed the eye test with his mother, Tyronda Whitaker.

Bill Lucas;2195378; said:
I post a lot on TigerDroppings and the LSU recruiting board has nothing about him as a recruit. It seems a little odd since they are in his top 3.

I am not sure he has a solid offer from LSU, that could explain why the fans aren't as interested in his recruitment. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I think have seen one site report an LSU offer and other sites with no mention of an LSU offer. These offers come and go frequently nowadays, so it can be hard to tell.

Tyquan Lewis on commit: 'Coming soon'
August, 17, 2012
By Brad Bournival | ESPN.com

By this time next month, Tyquan Lewis (Tarboro, N.C., Tarboro) could be a Buckeye.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound hybrid defensive end/linebacker indicated he is quite sure of where he wants to go and he received the blessing from his mother. Now, it?s just a matter of picking a date.

North Carolina, Ohio State and LSU ? as they have been for some time ? are the finalists and Lewis wants to take official visits to all three.

But he might have already given a commitment by the time he sees them.

?I know in mind where I want to go,? Lewis said. ?I thought about doing it today, but my [high school] coach said there?s too much going on. [The decision] is coming soon.

Here?s what he had to say about all three:

So, uh, did ESPN give credit to the 247 interview posted above that they very clearly pulled the information and quotes from for that update?

Edit: I suppose it might have been the same person (although that seems unlikely)?
