DT Donovan Munger (Official Thread)

Keep the d line stocked! Great commit, welcome to la familiar Donovan!
Is his first shot definitely on defense though? It seems that we have more of a need on o line and he can play there as well

I like that fact that we have a couple guys that seem to be flexible as far as O or D. And we have an O-line coach that seems to be an absolute genius.

Onto linebacker and tackle and receiver!

Maybe O-line it is?

The final piece of the puzzle is Oklahoma's most recent offer at the position, Shaker Heights, Ohio three-star Donovan Munger. The interesting aspect for Munger is that the Sooners are, as admitted by him, are truly the only school recruiting him at defensive tackle while most of his other leaders, notably Ohio State, like him as an interior offensive lineman. Often this works as an advantage for the school giving a big guy the chance to play on the defensive side - it's a longshot for Oklahoma but perhaps this could provide an edge.

OK, so I need to ask. Before the commitment he was a "verbal" offer. What's the difference between a "verbal" offer and an "official" offer when it comes to committing? Is it just a piece of paper?

Prospects can receive a 'Verbal' offer from coaches at any point, however they can't receive an 'Official' (written) offer until September 1st of their Senior year of high school. If it said Verbal before he committed, it was just an 'error' on our part by not updating it to Official.

Hope that answers your question.
