E. Gordon Gee (President West Virginia U.)

I made one post at their site. It read as follows:

Boise is 8-10 versus BCS schools since 2000, 104-7 versus non-BCS schools during that time.

That was my post in its entirety. Apparently, they find facts about them distasteful. I was banned.

I was banned for responding to the jackhole who sent Gee an e-mail talking academic smack...............using TSUN's academics.

Let's put it this way. Gordon Gee can, at times, speak off the cuff. That being said, he's a pretty [censored]ing brilliant leader and one of the most respected and influential university presidents in the world. Perhaps there's something at play here that goes beyond merely his comments for the news cycle.

Gordon Gee might look like Orville Reddenbacher, but if he and the Boysee prez crash landed in the Andes, I have little doubt who would eat whom for dinner.

Stopped over at that message board real quick just to see what was up... looks like Dr. Gee has inflicted a serious amount of butthurt among Boisy fans. The more their fans and president talk, the more small-time they look.

1- ohio state isnt, and should not be going to the national championship game.
2-sometimes gee confuses me with silly statements like this. hes a bright guy, he walked right into a "trap." or he purposefully created a circus.
3-is he toking it up again?

Agreed. Not to mention it only takes one game of watching Boise to realize they would curb stomp a one dimensional team like Auburn and give Oregon a run for their money. It?s really bad timing for Gee to make this comment when Boise has a very good chance of laughing in his face come January.

And why is a university president even making these comments? What credibility does he even have in terms of evaluating football teams? A politically correct answer would have been much more suitable and less attention grabbing.

The bad part about Gee's comments was the timing. ESPN's SC lead tonight was all about Ohio State versus...wait for it...Boise State.

It's fucking scUM week. :shake:

Boise St. president responds to OSU jab

Boise State's president said his counterpart at Ohio State's claim that Big Ten and Southeastern Conference teams play a ''murderer's row'' schedule ''is the
greatest exaggeration I think we've heard this year in college football.'
In an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, Bob Kustra angrily responded to Ohio State President Gordon Gee's statement that TCU and Boise State don't deserve to be in the Bowl Championship Series title game even if they run the table.
Gee said of the power conferences' schedules: ''We do not play the Little Sisters of the Poor.''
Kustra had Ohio State's last two schedules in front of him ? the Buckeyes have played Southern California and Miami, in addition to several mid-majors and directional schools ? and said, ''If they're not playing the Little Sisters of the Poor, they're playing the Little Brothers.''
He added: ''Maybe President Gee doesn't go to the games of the teams that are not in his Big Ten, but he's playing some easy marks.''
TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte also stepped into the fray, defending the Horned Frogs' unblemished record.
''We only worry about our house and what we do at TCU,'' he said. ''I'll put our record up against anybody.''
Kustra said he had to speak up after hearing Gee's comments'
.
.
.
.
''The formula these days for BCS teams is get seven or eight home games, play one non-conference game against a team from another BCS league, schedule three or four patsies and try not to leave the state if you can help it,'' he said.
He also said that the SEC's Florida Gators have not left the state to play a non-conference, regular-season opponent since 1991.

Entire article: http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefoo...o-Ohio-State-president-Gordan-Gee-slam-112410

In summary: The Bosie State president thinks, that since BCS teams play 2 or 3 weak non conference game opponents, Bosie State's schedule is just as tough as any of the BCS team's schedules. The guy must be an idiot, the point is that Boise State's entire conference schedule is patsies. If Boise State was in the SEC or Big 10 they would probably only be 4-4 in conference play in lieu of any easy 8-0 vs the other 8 WAC patsies.

the lulz keep rolling in, from the TCU President

"I sat back and just thought about our football program and our coach and realized that to start throwing stones at your house, they must be jealous," Del Conte said. "We have a phenomenal football program. ... And someone now starts taking shots at TCU? That means we've arrived."

Anytime. Anyplace. Anywhere," he said. "Buckeyes against the Horned Frogs. Tee it up. Let's go."

that last quote is priceless, must have forgot about that article that i posted:rofl:

Every BCS team schedules a few gimmies since they know they have a rough road ahead. Against BCS teams, Boise scores 35 and allows 27 points on average. Against the Sisters of the Poor, they score 51 and allow 7 points on average. Sorry Boise, you play in a crap conference.

I think it's in JT's thread, the comparison of historic coaches and their (ridiculously few) undefeated seasons.

The simple fucking fact that Boise has like eight undefuckingfeated seasons in the last ten does not prove how strong they are, but rather how pathetically weak their schedule really is. These delusional fucks saying otherwise would have you believe that the fucking doucher Peterson is amongst the greatest coaches EVER. Ridiculous.

Fuck TSUN and fuck RR.

Okie States coach was on Mike and Mike this morning and he was asked about Gee's comments and basically said...... When you play OU, Texas and then Nebraska your kids have to play the entire game and its tougher to stay healthy..... basically I think no one wants to get in the convo but everyone at a major university is thinking the same thing. Can Boise and TCU hang with anyone? Yes, no one is disputing that the way the media is running with this but they play 8 garbage teams and want respect, fuck that.... I would like to see them play a desperate Illinois team fighting for their coach at the end of the year right before they go up against Iowa on the road..... Just Wish Dr Gee never took the bait.
