FL DB Ben Edwards (OSU & Auburn decommit; Stanford Verbal)

Let's not forget that there are some programs that will, after receiving a commitment, slow or cease communications with a kid because other kids who are more attractive want to commit.

It is what it is and that's a lot of garbage on both sides of the game.

Scout $ - Ohio State Commit Visiting Auburn For A-Day

Excited to visit Auburn again...visiting with Kevin Tolliver and Jeffrey Holland...also talking to Notre Dame, UCLA, North Carolina and Stanford...still committed to OSU but looking at a few other schools.
I can't help but think about the recent "Meet the Bag Man" article on SB Nation. I'm not holding anything against Edwards, I'd be excited to make a trip to an ATM machine that handed out free money, too.

What does a comment like this say about how you view the integrity of a kid recruited by Ohio state and urban Meyer; a kid committed to Ohio State?

It doesn't have to be about the kid. There are family members that could be "influenced". Not saying that is what is going on, but don't use that jump to conclusions mat that it is all on Ben.

I don't pretend to know a thing about these recruits.

What I do know is that they and their families are almost certainly being offered money on visits to schools in the south and other places too most likely.

How a player reacts to that or if it has any impact on their recruitment is anyone's guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ohio State had some sort of underground bag man network either- I just don't think it's nearly as elaborate or well coordinated at places outside the SEC.

Scout $ - Ohio State Pledge Visits UNC

Was at UNC's spring game last weekend with teammate Andre Smith (who eventually committed to UNC)...Coach Disch was recruiting him hard saying he needs safeties...besides OSU, Auburn and UNC also focused on Notre Dame, Stanford, and UCLA.

Here's what I've gathered about Trinity Christian Academy...they have the following players being recruited by D1 schools so far:

'15 LB Victor Alexander (UCLA Verbal...also has offers from UNC, Florida, Miami, etc. and is strongly looking at the Naval Academy)
'15 WR Chris Barr (offers from Purdue, USF, USC, Memphis, etc.)
'15 S Ben Edwards (OSU Verbal...also has offers from Auburn, UNC, Miami, ND, UCLA, etc.)
'15 LB Jeffrey Holland (offers from Auburn, UNC, UCLA, Alabama, LSU, Florida, FSU, etc.)
'15 DT Kendrick Norton (FSU Verbal...also has offers from Auburn, UNC, Alabama, Florida, etc.)
'15 LB Andre Smith (UNC Verbal...also has offers from Miami, USF, UCF, etc.)
'15 CB Kevin Tolliver (LSU Verbal...also has offers from Auburn, UNC, UCLA, Alabama, Florida, FSU, etc.)
'16 RB Jalin Buie (Auburn Verbal...also has offers from UNC, Miami, Tennessee, South Carolina, etc.)

So you can expect UCLA, Auburn, UNC, FSU and OSU to be very active at their school from now until signing day...count me in the group that will be pleasantly surprised if Edwards sticks with his OSU pledge...
