I was all set to make this guy my favorite incoming recruit. I'm not a fan of how he handled this, but in the end I hope he made the best decision for himself.

Yep. Decommits happen, heck even late in the process. But as I said before, this is one of the poorest handling of decommitments I've seen in a while. Not even having coaches over, ones that have stuck by you throughout everything, is pretty darn disrespectful.

Agree, UpNorth. What particularly doesn't sit well with me is the seemingly constant protestations of "100% (or once 150%) Buckeye" then goes to Auburn, flips and refuses to meet with OSU coaches. I wouldn't be surprised if Auburn mandated that he couldn't meet (or even speak with?) OSU.

It wasn't the best handling of a process, but oh well.

We always had a contingency plan for Carlton because you couldn't trust anything he said and everyone close to the situation knew that. At least we knew heading into the weekend so that Arnette's visit was a go.
