WR Torrance Gibson (Green Bay Blizzard)

I think TG is on another level athletically than any QB we've has including Braxton and TP. It will be had to keep a guy like that off the field in this conference. Its like forcing safetys to play on the box

Even a gimpy Braxton is a monster wildcat QB (let alone a healthy one). Barrett is very talented.

Meanwhile the outside WRs are Michael Thomas, a rehabbing Johnnie Dixon and a whole lot of question marks. Maybe Jalin moves outside but he's the best pivot/H-back right now.

I think he dabbles at QB but gets on the field early at WR.

YES! Knew this was coming but still good to get the commitment now so he can go recruit for us. I see Gibson as the most dynamic playmaker in the country and you always get excited with that. I don't see a future QB on film but if he works at it, you never know. Either way, the coaches will sort all that out later. Work hard, learn from the guys at the position, and keep your nose clean. As to a redshirt...UFM will incorporate him if it helps us out on offense...Gibson will not be here for 5 years. Now if he really wants to play QB, getting a redshirt could be very beneficial. I could see a wildcat look or splitting him out wide occasionally...he could also provide a height advantage out wide. Welcome aboard Torrance!

You don't RS a kid who does not plan to stay 5. Not sure what his plans are, but he has the elite athleticism of an early entry.
As a receiver use him, as a QB he really doesn't really add something we don't already have other than longer strides. If Braxton does not return that changes the picture. Just think about practice with Braxton, Barrett, Jones, Collier, Gibson, Burrow, and Marshall getting QB snaps. That's a lot of QB's to get game ready and hard to develop him beyond wildcat plays unless he arrives early enough to get a head start.

I strongly disagree, he has the physical tools hold a defense coordinator's nuts with pliers. You have to dedicate a defender to spy him and keep a safety in the box for run. Teams are not doing that for anyone except Braxton. Urban knows exactly what he is doing bringing him in

I don't think youre remembering how athletic TP was. Gibson is very good, but TP was a freak with his size and speed. But I agree that the coaches need to find a way to incorporate Gibson. its another good problem for the offensive coaches to contend with
