WR Torrance Gibson (Green Bay Blizzard)

THE HURRY-UP: WILL CHRISTIAN KIRK VISIT OHIO STATE? MORE INSIGHT INTO MATT BURRELL AND JOSH SWEAT
THE TORRANCE GIBSON ROLLERCOASTER
Last week, Torrance Gibson was scheduled to visit Ohio State. Then, Torrance Gibson changed his official visit because he and his American Heritage (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) teammates had a game against rival Miramar. The Patriots won their heated battle with Miramar, thanks in large part to Gibson who engineered a second-half comeback after being down 26-10 in the third quarter. A big win for American Heritage following last week's devastating loss to St. Thomas Aquinas and Nick Bosa.

Unfortunately for Gibson, it appears that a part of reason for that early deficit could be directly on the broad shoulders of No. 6. Gibson was benched in the first half of the game for disciplinary reasons, according to the Miami Herald.

“We want Torrance to become the leader we know he can be for this team,” American Heritage coach Mike Rumph told the Herald. “The minute he started to do that was toward end of third quarter. I hope it’s a valuable lesson. My job is to prepare him for college and teach him that if you do the right things, you will be rewarded for it.”

Good job, Coach Rumph. Set the standard and follow through. Here's hoping that Gibson continues working on things on and off the field. His prodigious talent will keep him in the spotlight, and with that comes an increased need for discipline in his endeavors.

The Hurry Up
GIBSON'S DECISION
As of now, four days after his official visit, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 2015 four-star athlete Torrance Gibson still isn't talk about his trip to Ohio State. Why? I don't know, but I'm not in the habit of asking questions that I don't have a right to know the answer to. That said, I was able to reach out to a few people in the Gibson camp earlier this week and get a little more insight into his decision and what should be expected coming up.

"The visit was great, that's what he's told me," a source close to Gibson shared. "He said the fans were amazing, and that they knew who he was and were chanting his name and he loved that."

Despite some chatter that a commitment was looming, our source says that's not the case. He also, interestingly enough, said he thinks Gibson should make a decision and soon.

"I know he wants to visit Oklahoma, and he'll do that from what I've been told," the source added. "But right now, it's Ohio State by a big margin. I think he should commit, get it out of the way. He could help bring in a number of other players that are still on the fence and if he's confident that's the place for him, why not commit to help bring in the best class possible?"
