WR Torrance Gibson (Green Bay Blizzard)

I can't quite get a comparison but he seems much faster than Pryor and tougher too.

I don't know if there's a such thing on the planet as "much faster than Pryor" when referring to a QB. TP2 may leave a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths, but as far as game speed is concerned, he was pretty much unprecendented at the college level. And he had maybe the most vicious stiff-arm I've ever seen out of a QB. We can scrutinize his ability to read progressions and throw short/intermediate routes. But his speed and toughness were as elite as it gets, IMHO.

Agree with everything but the toughness, he shied away from contact especially at full speed, stiff arm and speed amazing, toughness not so much. Look at someone like Cam Newton he is similar size player and he would straight run people over at Auburn.

I personally would prefer my QB to shy away from full speed contact.....no reason for your QB to take the brunt of the hit and risk injury. TP2 was very smart with his body and avoided serious injury because of it; they're taught that way for a very good reason.

The longer Gibson's recruitment goes the better I'd feel; once it goes into the season, not sure UT is going to have the momentum he's looking for.

I agree, I do not prefer my QB to be reckless especially the amount of talent TP had, not to mention his level of talent compared the rest of QB talent we had on the roster. Just stating that occasionally he could have ran a few people over.

And back to Torrance, he is a special talent, if he didn't end up contributing at QB he could probably help out on other areas with the team, it would be great to see him in Scarlet and Grey.

Idk if Pryor had unprecented speed, a certain QB from Va Tech named Michale Vick was probably the fastest QB to play the position in college. Pryor had those long gazelle like strides though, which it seems that Gibson runs like. It's like they run in slow motion and then you blink and theyre 30yds down the field. I just hope that Gibson continues to work on his short to intermediate accuracy on routes and doesn't just rely on his athleticism. The weapons the staff will have surrounded him with will set him up for success

I don't know that there are QB's anywhere faster than Terrelle Pryor. He's still outrunning people in the NFL.

I guess you never watched RG3 his rookie year...

I think Gibson resembles RG3 in size more than Pryor. TP was built solid and like a DE like Cam Newton was. Gibson and RG3 are more lanky and not as muscular built. And Gibson also runs track like RG3 too, I'm not stating that Gibson is as fast as either, especially RG3. But IMO he resembles RG3 and uses his legs first like him. Which at times scares me because you don't want your QB always relying on his legs

I would be shocked if he names us his leader on May 5th, without visiting. If he does, he's coming here end of story.

No matter who he names as his leader, I still love our chances. He is infatuated with Meyer, and absolutely loves our offense.
