Friday Night Lights at tOSU - July 27, 2012

When Googling for the Ohio Stadium no-alcohol policy, I found this article which supports selling beer at The Shoe. One of its arguments is that it will decrease the amount of alcohol snuck into The Shoe.

I doubt this. Unless they are selling $1 natty cans. Students will continue to smuggle in liquor in whatever creative ways they can.

I haven't seen any pictures of the scoreboard since June... google does not reveal anything... any updates? :)

Not positive how this will work. Will this be televised at all?
Not televised at all. For all intents and purposes, this is simply another camp for kids to try to earn an offer. The biggest difference is obviously that it is under the lights this time.

Should be a great recruiting event and it will be fun to watch Meyer and the staff interact with the kids.

Question: with Gridiron Kings going on the same date this year, is Urban going to move it next year to work around these "elite" camps to try to get more guys to attend?

Think it's always been the last Friday in July. With the Opening being the premier event in July now, coaches needing vacations, and a ton of other preparation for the season, not sure it's a big deal conflicting with Gridiron Kings. Especially now that FNL seems to be more of a rising junior event than rising senior with most kids deciding early these days.

Would certainly be nice to have Cam, Jalin, Eli, and Jayme there recruiting but not a big deal. Only non-committed prospect I've seen that couldn't make FNL was Quin Blanding who is one of the few juniors at GK.

Is it safe to assume this thing will have a higher turnout than most spring games? Is there a projected attendance? I would love to be there but due to a previous plan I cannot. I do however expect you sons o guns to post plenty of pics and video of this deal.

Well.....most people don't know about FNL. Also, The opening ceremonies for the Olympics is on the same day.

Both of those aspects will spell lower attendance.

I wouldn't mind beating any of these spring turnouts.

Michigan 25,000 (Big 10)
Oklahoma 20,000 (Big 12)
Missouri 18,614 (SEC)
Boise State 17,123 (Whatever conference the Broncos are in)
North Carolina 17,000 (ACC)
USC 15,515 (Pac 12)
Louisville 15,000 (Big East)
Miami 10,000 (ACC)

Dead last? Boston College, which drew 200 fans.

We better beat Boston College.

200, I'm sure we can beat. But I haven't noticed any publicity on local TV for this, so I doubt we beat Miami
