Update

Just a quick update on Codi.

Thanksgiving weekend Codi played in the CALIFORNIA STATE ALL STAR GAME. He played both ways OT / DE. It was basically Southern CA vs Northern CA for 8th graders (unlimited weight class). Codi's team, which was coached by his Dad (my brother) won by 1 pt.

Codi's team also won the Super Bowl game for his age group. I believe this was the third time in a row his team won.

Codi was then selected to the EAST BAY 2011 EAST / WEST ALL AMERICAN YOUTH GAME (8th Grade Unrestricted weight) in San Antonio Texas, in the Alamo Dome. He is on the West squad and will be playing DT. The game starts at 11:15 a.m. Texas time I believe.

Below is a link to the game and can be watched over the Internet Sunday, January 9th.

Codi is still interested in Ohio State and Hawaii. USC has invited him to camp with them.

Thanks a lot Mili that is very kind of you. I will pass it on to my brother.

BTW - Codi's team was up 28-6 but ended up losing by two points. I only got to watch a handful of plays as I had another obligation, but my brother said Codi had about 3-4 tackles and almost had a sack but was held on the play.

3-4 tackles for a DT is not a bad day at all IMHO.

This would be for the 2011 incoming Freshman class...

Perhaps this year or next Codi will be able to camp at tOSU. I really think that he would fall in love with the place if he was able to see the stadium, training facilities, etc.

Here's hoping from a proud Uncle...

What a story that would be.

Good luck to your nephew.

I have to admit that tOSU would be a dream come true. Such an awesome football program and one of my all time favorite Head Coaches. You talk about a quality person to send your kid off too, it gets no better than Coach T.

Codi would fit in really well out there. He lives his life alot more Mid-Western lifestyle than he does Californian.

Send him our way!!!!! We will take good care.

Are you an Ohio State fan as well??????

I think tOSU is one of the best programs in the nation. I don't really root for just one school all the time like I do the Dolphins in the NFL. I tend to watch and root for the schools my players are at from my High School job.

We currently have players at Oregon, UTEP, USC, Mesa State, Adams State, Arizona Western, Arizona State, Nevada, among others.

Ohio State is one of the few colleges I will watch though when they are on depsite not having players there (yet).
